The Branxome family and their boat, Dabchick, find themselves in foreign waters, and involved in an exciting adventure full of mystery and thrills. Orange cloth covers with blue titles and vignettes. B/w illustrations. 252 pages. Spine a little bumped and very slightly browned. Lower corners bumped. Ink inscription to front pastedown, contents otherwise clean. A little light foxing to text block. Dustwrapper is edge worn, chipped and browned to edges and rear panel with some foxing.

Plate to opposite page 27 is MISSING (mounting card and tissue-guard are still present, but plate no longer there). Some foxing and page browning.

Large format. Burgundy cloth spine with green pictorial boards. Full-page colour illustrations throughout. 94 pages, all edges red. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Some light scuffing to covers. A few small chips to spine cloth, cleverly disguised with matching ink(?). Quite heavy foxing and a musty smell to contents. A couple of pages have very slightly ragged edges. A very nice copy of an extremely rare book.

If Dawks had not given Bap a worm he would never have been taken to the Disbanding Circus or met Duchess and Donizetti and his Doves - and that was where this series of adventures in and out of school began for the three Peyton children and their friend. Pale orange boards with red vignette to front cover and red titles and vignette to spine. B/w frontis. 203 pages. Top of spine heavily bumped. Spine slightly faded. A few small marks to covers. Light page edge browning and an odd grubby fingermark but contents generally clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn and torn with area of loss at top of spine and label repairs to spine and folds on verso. Spine browned and rear panel a bit grubby.
