Red cloth. B/w frontis and title page. 1" cut from top edge of title page. Some foxing, a few grubby marks & pale damp marks to contents. Frontis detached. Hinges pulled but binding tight. Large name & date written in colour pencil (lilac) rear endpaper. Covers grubby/scuffed and unevenly faded. Spine browned.

Large format. Contemporary binding; red leather spine and corners; raised bands to spine; gilt titles and decorations. All edges gilt. Contains: 'Wales Illustrated, In A Series of Views, North and South (2 vols), plus Westmorland, Cumberland, Durham & Northumberland Illustrated and 'The People's Gallery of Engravings, 4 vols in one. Contains numerous steel engraved plates. 3 plates have been professionally hand-coloured. Wear to cover edges; a little bumping to corners. A few scuff marks to covers and top of spine. Foxing and browning to some pages.
