Some evidence of pencil marks erased from front free-endpaper. Foxing to contents. Dustwrapper is edge worn, torn and foxed.

Orange cloth boards, gilt title to spine. ISBN: 0631053409. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Dustwrapper is grubby, has a closed tear to top front edge and remains of price label to rear flap.

Browning to spine and some cover edges, damp stian to base of spine and lower edge of rear cover. Some light browning and foxing to contents but otherwise pages are clean. Line of surface paper damage to frontis, looks like it has been stuck to title page. Book has a smell of smoke.

Name in ink to creased front endpaper. Endpapers are marked with some light browning. A few marks to contents. Poor condition front panel and spine of dustwrapper present but have been stuck to stiff card.
