Almost very good condition.
Pictorial cloth spine shows boy hanging from title. Pictorial front cover shows two children fishing, they have caught a boot. 12 colour plates plus b/w illustrations. 278 pages. First story: The Magic Matchbox. Spine bumped, wear to picture on spine. Corners bumped and worn, heavy bump to lower front corner. Bump to top edge of rear cover. Covers slightly grubby and worn. Ink inscription to front endpaper and name to top edge. Tear alongside spine to top edge of page 87. Endpapers browned, foxing to text block. Light browning to about 6 pages, possibly something has been pressed between them, contents generally clean otherwise.

Red cloth with black titles to front and spine. 250 pages and 2 pages of adverts to rear. B/w illustrations. Spine and corners bumped and a little worn. Spine is browned and has a small hole on front joint. Covers are marked. Foxing to prelims and page edges. Some joints are cracked.

Browning to endpapers and foxing to outer page edges. Dustwrapper is worn, torn and creased with loss to spine and corners, some tape repairs on verso.

Very good condition in a slightly better than good dustwrapper.
Red cloth with black titles to spine and front cover. 254 pages. B/w illustrations. Spine slightly bumped. Endpapers and outer page edges lightly foxed. Wrapper is just slightly edge chipped, but otherwise complete. Some small closed tears to outer edges, 1" closed tear to spine. Brown paper reinforcements to outer edges of verso. Overall, wrapper is grubby with small stain to front panel. Still a desirable copy of a very scarce wrapper.
