First story is Joan Visits a Farm. 128 pages. 8.5 x 7". A chunky volume of stories and rhymes. Covers darkened and grubby. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Front edge of spine cracked. Large ink inscription to verso of frontis. A few hinges cracked so binding feels weak. Some light foxing and an odd mark to contents. One plate is MISSING and one partially detached.

Cream boards, red titles and picture to front. 95 pages. Colour illustrations throughout. Brown and white pictorial endpapers. Spine and corners slightly bumped and rubbed. Browning to endpapers. Small green pencil mark to rear endpaper. A little foxing to page edges. Light browning to some pages. Tiny ink spots to margins of pages 90 and 91. Contents otherwise are generally clean. Slight musty smell to book. Dustwrapper is edge worn with a couple of small tears. Spine is browned and the wrapper is grubby and marked. Verso is browned.

Large square format. Cloth spine. Green and white pictorial boards. Cute colour pictures. Corners bumped, board edges worn and rubbed. Spine browned. Boards are grubby with a couple of stains to rear board. Front joint cracked, causing first gathering of pages to feel a little loose. A few pages a little detached. One page has large tear which affects a little of the text. Couple of erased pencil marks. Some grubby marks.

Contents very good indeed.

Rear joint just starting to crack.
