Re-backed with original spine laid down and new endpapers. Spine browned and title faded to spine. Uneven fading to cloth boards. Two of eight plates missing. Pale damp stain to top half of plates. Contents generally clean. A good working copy.

A dog story written from the dog's point of view, the dog resembles a Boxer and is called 'Scoutie'. Written in 'doggie' dialect. Green cloth spine with silver title, green paper boards with black title and vignette to front. B/w photo of 'The Orther' as frontis, b/w pencil sketches to text throughout. Covers clean and tight. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Contents clean. Green dustwrapper is lightly worn at corners and browned to spine. A nice copy of an unusual title.

Corners worn, small patch of surface paper loss where possibly a small label has been removed from front cover else covers nice and bright. Top of front joint split but binding still tight. Contents nice and clean.

Edges rubbed, corners worn. Boards a little marked. Spine a little discoloured. Staple binding rusty. Bottom staple broken therefore some sections splitting from base as seen in the photos. A few minor foxspots else a beautiful copy!

Contents fine. Yellow pictorial wrapper is grubby and has a closed edge-tear to rear panel.

Full page colour illustration every other page. Covers a little grubby and creased. One line inscription in ink to front pastedown. Prelims grubby with a closed tear to gutter edge of title page. A few finger marks present. Illustrations clean and bright.
