Cream spine with black titles and vignette, green pictorial front cover shows two girls chasing a boy, red title. Edited by Chisholm. 6 colour plates plus b/w text illustrations. 192 pages. Spine and corners bumped with wear. Nasty dent to lower edge of front cover and some nicks along top edge. Rear cover slightly grubby, a couple of light scratches to front cover. Text block is grubby with some foxing. Contents very good. All plates present.

Spine faded and some uneven fading to covers. A few marks to covers too. This has been a publisher's prize with prize plate to front pastedown. One hinge cracked. Endpapers browned. Some foxing and an odd fingermark to contents.

Nonetheless, the advice it gave to Ville did make his wishes come true - after a fashion. Oblong format. Green pictorial glazed boards. B/w and colour illustrations. ISBN: 0333215966. Ex-lib with evidence of removal of library tag to title page and front pastedown, also a ink-stamped number to title page. Contents otherwise clean. Dustwrapper is faded to front, spine and rear spine edge (from green to blue). Some damp staining to lower edge of dustwrapper not visible to front. Endpapers removed.

Inscription in ink plus a pencil drawn circle to the verso of the frontis. Couple of plates (one colour and one four tone) have ragged edges. Some foxing mostly to page edges and grubby marks to contents.
