Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. The nationwide scandal in Akenham over the burial of an unbaptised child of non-confirmist parents in 1870's. Book Club Edition. Green boards, gilt title to spine. B/w photos. 280 pages.
Spine and corners slightly bumped. Name and date in ink to front free-endpaper. Heavy foxing to endpapers and textblock, page browning throughout. Dustwrapper is slightly edge worn with tiny tears at top of spine.
