It describes an operation in Crete during the Second World War to capture German general Heinrich Kreipe. Introduction by M.R.D. Foot, Prologue & epilogue by Iain Moncrieffe, Afterword by Patrick Leigh Fermor. Dark blue pictorial cloth. B/w photos. 214 pages. Previous owner's ex-lib stamp to half-title page (very neat and unobtrusive). Else a lovely copy contained in publisher's slipcase which is lightly scuffed and has some white marks at ends.
