Very good condition in a good dustwrapper.
Dido Twite and Captain Hughes set out from Chichester Harbour with urgent dispatches for London. Their coach overturns in the middle of nowhere leading Dido to become involved in some 'havey cavey goings in' with smugglers, witches, kidnappers and treasonous pirates. Green boards, gilt title to spine. B/w text illus. 251 pages. ISBN: 0224005146. Slight bumping to spine and corners. Inscription in ink and another name blotted out to front free-endpaper. Light foxing to textblock. Dustwrapper is price-cut, edge worn, slightly marked to front panel with a tear to top spine corner and spine is slightly browned.
