Very good condition in a good dustwrapper.
Well known fairy tales retold. Light blue cloth covers, silver gilt titles to front and spine. 15 beautiful colour plates and some b/w chapter illustrations. vii and 140 pages. Top edge red. Spine and corners slightly bumped. Fading to covers. Light page browning and foxing to endpapers, prelims and textblock. White dustwrapper is foxed, slightly grubby with some very slight loss at top edges.

First published in 1961 by Hamish Hamilton as Bill Badger's Finest Hour. ISBN: 041626770X. Ex-Lib with ink stamps to front pastedown colophon page and removal of front free-endpaper. Slight bumping to spine and corners. Small and faint mark to top edge of front cover. Dustwrapper is slightly faded to spine with a small mark to base of spine (from an old sticker, no longer present), creasing to top and tail of spine.

This is the story of the giant oak which grew from the acorn. ISBN: 0416836003. Spine very slightly bumped. Tiny dent to lower edge of front cover. Contents fine. Price-cut wrapper ('new' price sticker above) is slightly sunned to spine and edges.

Some foxing to textblock and light page edge browning. Slipcase is also faded to spine and is bashed at base causing creasing and a split. Evidence of removal of a label to one panel.
