Brown cloth with blind border to front and back and gilt titles to spine. B/w illustrations. 226 pages. 5.5" x 4". Spine and corners are bumped. Small split in cloth of spine. Covers are a little scuffed. Name plate to front pastedown. Glue marks to front pastedown by label. Foxing, mainly to page edges and fingering to contents.

Blue cloth spine, tan pictorial boards, dark titles. Grey paper. Features 12 heroes/heroines with a tipped in colour plate for each. 140 pages. Spine is bumped, worn and lighter in places (damp stained?). Wear to corners and cover edges. Covers slightly grubby. Light browning to endpapers and a few brown spots to rear endpapers. Faint black marks to half-title page and page opposite. Tissue guard to frontis marked. Contents very good. All plates present.

Large format. Brown cloth with gilt title and green/brown decorations to front. With 48 coloured and tinted illustrations. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. A few marks to covers. Front endpaper is browned, with tear to bottom of page next to spine. Inscription in ink to verso of front endpaper. A few hinges are pulled. Margin marks and a little foxing.
