Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. A story of men and airplanes, of life and death in the skies over Nazi-occupied Europe between 1942 and 1945. The 306th Bombardment Group was one of the oldest bomb groups stationed in England and flew 341 missions to targets in France, Germany, Belgium and Holland. Blue glazed boards, gilt title to spine. B/w photos.
Top & tail of spine lightly rubbed. Name in ink to front pastedown. 50th anniversary notes pasted in to front endpaper (neat). Text block browned. Pictorial dustwrapper is edge-rubbed and worn, spine lightly faded, faint mug ring mark to front panel, strengthened at top of spine on verso with tape.
