BRUCE MCLAREN: LIFE AND LEGACY OF EXCELLENCE
Published by Haynes Publishing Group. 1st. 2001
Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. Bruce McLaren arrived in Europe in 1958 on a scholarship from the New Zealand Grand Prix Association, virtually unknown except fro an endorsement from Jack Brabham. The impact he made was sensational. As this fascinating biography relates, by the time of his fatal testing accident 12 years later he had established himself on both sides of the Atlantic as a driver-engineer of extraordinary versatility, also founding the team that went on to become one of the most successful in Formula 1. Foreword by Robin Herd. Square format. Blue cloth boards, gilt title to spine. B/w photos. 208 pages including index.
SIGNED by the author to title page (no dedication). Green ink stain (small) to top margins of prelims, last few pages top of text block. Else contents clean. White pictorial dustwrapper is a little grubby, 1" closed tear (no loss) to top rear spine edge and has previous bookseller's barcoded label to rear panel.
