Being an Account of the Reign of Pope Alexander VI written by his Master of Ceremonies Johann Burchard, edited and translated by Geoffrey Parker. Brown decorated cloth. Gilt title and decorations to spine and front board. B/w illustrations. Top edge red. 245 pages including index. Spine lightly faded (slight). Else a lovely copy contained in publisher's slipcase which is grubby and worn (being white in colour) and has small neat previous owner's name in ink to one side at horizontal edge.
