This volumes contains the entries for 1939 to 1945 in Jack Overhill's gigantic diary (it comprises twenty-five books of typescript), which he began in 1932 when he was 29, and ended shortly before his death in 1989. A detailed and striking portrait of Cambridge in the Second World War, from the viewpoint of a quarrelsome pacifist. White pictorial cardwraps. B/w photos.
Covers lightly browned and a little grubby. Edges rubbed and worn, top front corner creased. Contents clean.
