THE RISE AND FALL OF THE GREEK COLONELS
Published by Franklin Watts. 1st USA. 1985
Slightly better than very good condition in a slightly better than very good dustwrapper. On 21 April 1967 a group of Colonels seized power in Greece. Ostensibly their action was justified by the danger of a Communist conspiracy. Yet not a single person was ever convicted of any action or plot prior to the coup; the Colonels revealed themselves as naive megalomaniacs with a self-imposed mission to reform Greece by force. Blue cloth boards, silver title to spine. B/w photos. xii and 192 pages including index.
Text block lightly browned. Contents clean. White pictorial dustwrapper is lightly browned and lightly faded to author's name on front panel.
