Almost very good condition. Black, cream and dark red pictorial covers. Introduced by Devendra P. Varma. The text of this edition is based on that of the first edition of 1820 with minor emendations. 8 full page colour illustrations including frontispiece. xvii and 505 pages.
A few light grubby marks to boards. Lower edge of text block a little grubby. Heavy diagonal crease to lower corner of page 7/8 and also upper corner page 485/486, lower corner of last two blank pages including rear endpaper. Contained in publisher's slipcase which is a little scuffed.
