Pale orange boards with red vignette to front cover and red titles and vignette to spine. B/w frontis. 203 pages. Top of spine heavily bumped. Spine slightly faded. A few small marks to covers. Light page edge browning and an odd grubby fingermark but contents generally clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn and torn with area of loss at top of spine and label repairs to spine and folds on verso. Spine browned and rear panel a bit grubby.

Covers are unevenly faded. Bumping and wear to spine, corners and cover edges. Foxing to endpapers, a few page margins and outer page edges. 4 plates have light creases.

Maroon cloth spine, with gilt title; rest of covers are black. Many fold-out pages of maps etc. Some b/w photos. Spine has been rebacked, with original laid down; a little chipping and loss to original. Bumping and wear to corners. A few marks to covers. New endpapers. Frontis is MISSING. Foxing to some pages and outer page edges. A few page corner losses.
Red cloth covers. Gilt title to spine and gilt elephant head vignette to front cover. 413 pages, top edge gilt. B/w photo plates. 8 x 5.25 inches. Spine and corners bumped. A couple of very small marks to front cover. Name to half-title, foxing throughout else contents clean. With extremely scarce dustwrapper with six shillings printed to bottom of spine and 14 titles listed as "uniform editions" on rear panel. Dustwrapper is a bit grubby and worn at spine and corners, there is a large closed tear across the front panel. A nice copy with a decent wrapper.

Rear joint a little cracked. Wrapper has 1-2" pieces of loss to top and tail of spine; rest of wrapper is edge-chipped, with creasing and smaller pieces of loss; some tape repairs.

Front joint just a little twisted and starting to crack. Light foxing to endpapers and page edges. Dustwrapper is chipped and browned to spine with some slight loss.

Book leans to one side a little. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. Dustwrapper is edge chipped and worn with slight loss, torn to top of spine and spine browned.

Blue-green cloth with elaborate gilt decoration to front cover and gilt title and decorations to spine. 32 beautiful colour plates with captioned tissue guards. 378 pages, top edge gilt. Large format. Spine and corners bumped and slightly rubbed. A few very light marks to covers. Endpapers lightly browned. Front joint is cracked as are a couple of hinges. Small piece of surface paper damage to page 100 and verso of plate where possibly pages were lightly stuck together. Foxing throughout else contents clean. This copy would make a wonderful gift.
