Spine bumped and worn with small tears to cloth. Corners bumped and worn. Couple of patches of surface paper damage to rear board. Boards are grubby. Wear to board edges. Split to top of front and rear joints. Closed tear to first page which has been mended. Pencil marks to first page. Board edges grubby.

A delightful Victorian book. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Covers are grubby and marked. Both joints cracked. Some damp damage to contents, two pages have been stuck together on bottom margin, now torn apart causing surface paper damage to last line of text and a few other pages have surface paper damage or tears to bottom edge. Large 5.5" tear to one illustration. Ink inscription to front endpaper. Numerous pencil marks to contents. mostly short lines to blank pages. Grubby marks to contents.
