Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper.
Large format. Brown cloth, gilt titles and vignette to front. Brown and white pictorial endpapers. 16 superb colour plates. Poems that are 'the very essence of the British spirit' selected and introduced by Nichols. Spine and corners bumped. Endpapers very slightly browned. Some slight page edge browning and a few fingermarks to margins else contents clean. Very scarce original blue dustwrapper (with green titles) is a bit grubby and edge worn.

Inside the book the publisher is listed as The Griffon Press Ltd. An extra set of the 10 colour plates are contained in an envelope at the back of the book. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Some light scuff(?) marks to covers. Light foxing to contents else contents clean. Only 4 of the 10 plates remain in the envelope at the back of the book.
