Harrison printing with red endpapers. Pictorial card wraps showing Rupert flying in air on a bicycle with wings. Castle overlooking sea in background. 2" horizontal tear across front cover near bottom. Other creasing and wear to covers. Base of spine is repaired (re glued), with a little colouring - about 1.75", split to one side. Creasing to rear cover, with some scuffing and light surface paper damage. Not price-cut. Inscription in ink to belongs to box. Year date in ink to inside front cover. Grubby margin marks to a few pages internally. Pictures are still bright. Small margin tear to last page, repaired with magic tape. Last page has a split gutter. Still a good copy of this rarer edition.

A mischievous puppy gets in to all sorts of trouble! Spine bumped and worn. Corners worn, and outside edge of rear cover very worn and bumped. Some loss of paper cover from rear board, approx. 2 x 0.5", creasing alongside. Scratches to onlay. Covers a bit grubby. Ink inscription to front pastedown. Diagram of door drawn in pencil to verso of frontis. Foxing throughout plus an odd mark.

All edges gilt. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Small line indentation to top of front cover. Looks like an unsuccessful attempt has been made to clean the covers which are now part shiny/part matt and unevenly coloured and marked. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Joints are cracked. Frontis and one other plate MISSING, a few have small ink spots to them. Some grubby margin marks. A reading copy.

A few very minor marks to covers which are nice and bright. Backstrip complete but 1" and 2" splits to front edge. Rear edge of spine starting to split. Corners lightly rubbed. Front and rear joint weak. Name in belongs to box. NOT price-cut (no price printed in this copy). Maze garden puzzle page completed. Contents bright.
