Oblong format. Cloth spine, cream pictorial boards. Bright colour pictures throughout. Once a year, in the spring, Farmer Jolly had a picnic... Covers are grubby with vertical creases at centre, lower front corner creased, slight loss of paper covering to corners and an old tape mark to lower edge of front cover. Front joint is partially cracked at lower 2". Neat name in ink to top margin of title-page. There is light foxing to the contents. One page has a tear and crease at top edge.
