Front joint is just starting to crack. Dustwrapper is slightly edge rubbed and a little grubby to rear panel.

Dustwrapper is edge worn, grubby to rear panel, a few small tape repairs to verso and name and address written on verso of wrapper.

Light foxing to textblock. Dustwrapper is well worn, torn and chipped, tape repairs on verso and faded to spine. Rear panel is a bit grubby.

Spine and corners bumped and rubbed. Covers slightly bowed. Light spotting and damp staining to covers. Inscription in ink to front pastedown has been scribbled over. Small piece of lower corner of frontis torn off (actual illustration not affected). Page browning and foxing else contents clean. Some light corner creases and margin tears.

Tiny water stain to lower margins of some pages. A couple of page corner creases and a couple of page corner tips have very slight loss (text not affected). Some foxing to first few and last few pages else contents clean. A nice copy of a very early reprint.
