Poems that are 'the very essence of the British spirit' selected and introduced by Nichols. Spine and corners bumped. Small mark to front cover. Inscription in ink to front fly-leaf. Heavy foxing to prelims and to page edges.

David, a small cripple boy, is given a wonderful magical brooch and has many amusing adventures. Red cloth, black titles. 219 pages. Colour frontis, b/w text illustrations. Spine and corners bumped. Some fading to cover edges. Name and address in ink to front pastedown, inscription in ink to endpaper. There is a small mark to the textblock and very pale page browning else contents clean. Dustwrapper is worn at edges with minimal loss to corners and slightly grubby to rear panel/spine.

Grey cloth with black titles and vignettes to spine and front cover. 252 pages. B/w frontis plate. Spine and corners slightly bumped with small dent to edge of front cover. Light page browning and foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. Covers and contents clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn and a bit grubby, creased to front panel and flap and has faint stain to front panel/flap (only visible on verso).
