Brown cloth, gilt titles and vignette to front cover. 20 beautiful tipped-in colour plates. 319 pages. Published by Hodder for Boots The Chemist. Spine bumped, corners slightly rubbed. Inscription in ink to front pastedown. Some light foxing to contents. Plates all present and in fine condition. Dustwrapper is a bit grubby and edge rubbed, minimal loss at corners and a few tape repairs on verso.

1st edition variant. Red boards, gilt title to spine with Knight logo to base. Colour plates. Spine and corners bumped. Old tape mark to endpapers and wrapper flaps where wrapper was stuck down to pastedowns. Light browning to textblock. Evidence of removal of a label to front free-endpaper. School library stamp to title-page (neat), no other library markings. Wrapper is slightly worn at edges with printed price of 60p to front flap.
