The history of the River Wye from a fisherman's point of view, from early times until the abolition of fresh-water netting. Light brown cloth boards, black titles. B/w photos. vii and 160 pages including index, plus 8 page Methuen's general literature list to rear. Pale fading to lower edge of boards with some rubbing of edges. Text block is browned and heavily foxed. Some scattered foxing to contents, mainly to margins. Blue dustwrapper is very browned (discoloured) and grubby, spine is scuffed, top & tail of spine and corners worn with a chip to top of spine.

Blue cloth, gilt titles to spine. 8 b/w illustrations plus plan of Chepstow Inns. 103 pages including index. 8.5 x 5.5". SIGNED by the author (no dedication) to front endpaper. Top corner of boards bumped. top & tail of spine lightly shelf-worn. Text block & endpapers browned with some foxing. Grubby finger marks to page 14. The list of Chepstow Inns and their Landlords has some marked with a biro 'x' next to the name. Orange pictorial dustwrapper is unevenly faded and edge-worn.
