Very large format. Black calf leather spine & corners, dark green textured cloth boards with gilt title to front. No title to spine. From volume I Friday December 20th 1985 through to volume II Friday 11th December 1896, complete in one volume. B/w photos throughout. Leather spine rubbed and scuffed, boards scuffed and worn at lower edges. New endpapers. Some pages not bound in (but present). Some title pages have loss/tape marks. Tape repair to width of page 139 now yellowed with age. A few margin marks and tears.

Red pictorial cloth, black titles. The contents are divided into five sections, four covering the British fighting zones from north to south, the fifth covering the "back-areas". Each of the five sections are preceded by a short survey of the War history of the region as a whole. B/w photos accompanied by a paragraph of information relative to the particular locality. Boards nevenly faded with a few minor stains. Pencil erasure marks to front endpaper give the page a grubby appearance. Front and rear hinge pulled but binding tight.
