One colour map and two b/w maps. xliii and 368 pages including index. Spine sunned/faded and worn at top & tail. Corners of boards lightly rubbed. Previous owner's contemporary bookplate to front pastedown. Hinges pulled. A few margin marks, foxspots to maps. Three maps present. A decent copy for a book of its age!

Fourth Edition. Title to spine is 'Paley's Gothic Moldings'. Directions for copying them and for determining their dates. Upwards of six hundred examples. B/w illustrations to text. 94 pages plus 21 plates to rear and 2 pages of publisher adverts. Boards lightly unevenly faded and have a few minor marks. Top & tail of spine shelf-worn. Text block browned. 'S.' in pen to front pastedown. Front joint publled between front endpaper and half-title page but binding tight. Half-title page browned and has a contemporary ink name & date to top ege.

Dugdale Society Vol. 44. Edited by Robert Bearman. With Indes to Vols I-VI. The decade 1599-1609 was at first dominated by the Corporation's lively efforts to extend its authority at the expense of the lord of the manor. This was followed by a period of consolidation leading eventually to the grant of a second charter in 1610 consolidating rights acquired piecemeal over the previous seven or eight years. This volume contains the Corporation's minutes and accounts but supplemented, from 1602, by the records of the borough sessions. Blue cloth boards, gilt title to spine. ix and 588 pages including index. ISBN: 9780852200940. A couple of pages have minor corner creases else the book appears unread. Pictorial dustwrapper is half (vertically) faded to spine.

Dugdale Society Vol. 54. Edited by Jens Rohrkasten. The General Eyre was held by itinerant justices who had the right to hear all pleas arising in the county they were assigned to visit. They conducted an in-depth review of all judicial and administrative procedures in the county, correcting abuse of office by officials and ensuring that penalties were imposed on all those responsible for encroachments on royal rights. This volume contains an English translation of the sole surviving roll from the Warwickshire Eyre held between 5 June and 20 July 1262. ISBN: 9780852201077. Looks unread. Pictorial dustwrapper has a couple of marks to rear panel.

ISBN: 0862994306. Top & tail of spine bumped. Text block slightly grubby. Tape marks to pastedowns. Book has possibly been dropped at some point, leading to rear pastedown tearing (no loss). Pictorial dustwrapper is faded to spine and vertical imperfection to laminate to rear panel (not obliterating text).
