Slightly better than very good condition in a slightly better than very good dustwrapper.
The third and final volume of L.T.C. Rolt's autobiography. L.T.C. Rolt's fame rests on the fact that he was unique in producing works of literature from subject matter which has not before his time, been considered the stuff of literature - engineering, canals, railways, steam engines, agricultural machinery, and vintage cars. This volume was published posthumously and is a fitting tribute to the man who, through his appreciation of the 'aesthetics of technology', could be said to have given a literary shape to the Industrial Revolution. Black cloth baords, gilt title to spine. B/w photos. x and 246 pages. ISBN: 0862999987. Slight slant to spine. Text block lightly browned. Contents clean.
