Front free-endpaper has been removed. Dustwrapper is foxed, grubby to rear panel and slightly edge worn, there is a small biro scribble to the front panel (not too obvious).

A nice copy of the first edition.

Dustwrapper is torn in half down centre of spine and title at top of spine is also detached (but still present). There is some slight loss to top and tail of spine and to lower edge of rear panel. Spine and rear panel are a little grubby.

Front flap of wrapper is creased and has been price-cut by publisher with 7s 6d net printed above.
