A touching story of a city child's discovery of both the magic and the harsh realities of farm life. Square format. Glazed pictorial boards. Colour illustrations. Unpaginated. ISBN: 0001981048. SIGNED by the author and Ted Hughes (with dedication). 'Lantern Home Education Reading Library' stamped to front pastedown along with another signature in ink. Board corners lightly rubbed. Minor mark to lower edge of title page else contents fine. Pictorial dustwrapper is worn at corners and lightly edge-creased.

Ladybird Series 401. Buff boards with colour vignette and titles. Full-page colour illustrations. Verses by Perring. Slight bumping to spine and corners. A few light foxspots else contents clean. Dustwrapper is slightly edge worn with a tiny tear to top edge of rear panel and a light mark to front panel. Light foxing on verso of wrapper. Last title listed on rear flap is Five Little Kittens.

Grey boards, white titles. Pictorial onlay of Jemima to front cover. 84 numbered pages. 5.5 x 4.25". Spine and corners slightly bumped and rubbed. Some light spotting to covers and some slight grubbiness to pictorial onlay. Textblock is slightly grubby. Slight surface paper damage to blank pages 82 & 83 (were probably slightly stuck together at one point). Some light margin marks but generally contents are clean. This copy would make a wonderful gift.

Stories by Lynda Rountree, verses by Christine Bradley. A chunky book 1.75" thick. Covers are edge worn (and touched up with matching orange pen), scuffing/slight scratching to covers. Name in ink to front free-endpaper. Joints have been reinforced with white paper. Page browning to endpapers, foxing to contents. Some grubby fingermarks and some loss to page margins. Dot-to-dot has been completed then the pencil has been erased. Unfortunately the frontis is MISSING from this copy, the other plates are still present but the edges are slightly worn. A nice copy of a very scarce book.

Colour & b/w illustrations. 48 pages. A few brown marks to rear board (rust?). Contents beautifully bright and clean. Pictorial dustwrapper is grubby and is marked to rear panel (rust spots?).
