18-year-old Margery Paine goes to Rainbows, a model village built by a young heiress, to open its first sweet shop. Blue cloth, black title to spine. B/w frontis. 258 pages. Spine and corners bumped, slight browning to lower edges of covers. Prize plate to front free-endpaper has been mostly removed. Foxing to contents which are otherwise clean. Price-cut wrapper is edge chipped with slight loss to spine and corners and is slightly grubby to rear panel.

Front and rear hinges feel like they may have been re-glued. Staples rusty. Contents detached at lower staple. Light page browning and some foxspots. A nice copy of a scarce Blyton book. This copy would make a wonderful gift.

Endpapers browned, faint erased writing to pastedown. Browning, some foxing and a few marks to contents. All plates present.
