Colour frontis. B/w illustrations. 296 pages. Spine slightly bumped. Very slight fading to cover edges. Foxing to endpapers. Page browning throughout else contents clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn and torn with neat tape repairs on verso. Large section of loss to lower edge of rear panel.

Dustwrapper is very edge worn and faded to spine, front panel is slightly grubby. Front panel of another wrapper has been stuck to rear pastedown of the book.

Old tape marks to endpapers and half title-page and some light browning to endpapers. Foxing to textblock. Slight surface paper loss (from pencil erasure) to verso of frontis. Very small annotation mark to margin of page 156. Dustwrapper is edge rubbed with minimal loss at corners.

B/w illustrations. 519 pages. Top edge green. Third impression. A few minor foxspots to text block. Bookplate to verso of free front endpaper. Contents otherwise clean. Cream pictorial dustwrapper is a little grubby, faded to spine, browned across the top edge and a small closed tear to top front of spine edge (no loss).
