Selected from Five Centuries of English Verse with pictures by members of the society of illustrators. Large format. Vellum boards, gilt titles. B/w illustrations. All edges gilt. Boards heavily scuffed and marked, 1" split to base of spine and also to middle of front edge of spine. Endpapers browned. Scattered foxspots. Pages 83 -86 detached from binding (center of a section). Some hinges pulled.

Spine is faded with damp stains spreading to both boards. Bumping and wear to covers and corners. Some foxing throughout. Colour plates are still very good.
