Red cloth spine, pictorial front cover shows girl in red cloak holding holly and a basket of fruit. First story is "In The Tyrant's Grip" by Comrie. Colour plates and numerous other illustrations. Spine bumped and grubby. Covers edge worn. Rear cover is grubby and spotted. Front joint is almost broken, rear joint cracked. Page browning and some fingering to margins.

Colour plates showing scenes from the life of David. Packed full of b/w illustrations. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Tape repairs/reinforcements to edges of covers (tape folded over onto pastedowns inside). Small booksellers sticker to front pastedown. Old tape mark to front free-endpaper. Inscription in ink to verso of front free-endpaper. Grubby fingermarks to some page margins. Light foxing to textblock and some page browning. Not as bad as it sounds!

Colouring, and pencil scribbles to some b/w illustrations. Hinges pulled, binding is worn but holding. Musty odour present.
