Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. Reset edition. a Dutch-American villager in colonial America named Rip Van Winkle who meets mysterious Dutchmen, imbibes their strong liquor and falls deeply asleep in the Catskill Mountains. He awakes 20 years later to a very changed world, having missed the American Revolution. Green cloth, gilt title to spine and front cover. 50 colour plates (printed both sides of the page) plus colour frontis.
Spine and corners bumped and slightly rubbed. Tiny white mark to top edge of front cover. Light foxing to textblock. Dustwrapper is edge worn with slight loss and a little faded to spine.
