Full calf boards, five raised bands to spine and green title block with gilt title. Marbled text block and endpapers. B/w illustrations to text. 12 hand-coloured plates printed in colours by Evans. iv and 187 pages including index plus plates to rear.
Gilt vignette of crestof Ladies College Guernsey to front and rear board. Calf boards are rubbed, scuffed and marked. Binding is tight. Large prize plate to front pastedown. College stamp to fly-leaf and verso of rear endpaper. A few foxspots and light browning, most plates affected by foxing.
