Stanley Johnson, accompanied by his youngest son Max, sets off from China’s far western border with Pakistan to undertake an epic Silk Road journey of some 5,000km to Beijing. The father-and-son duo follow the ancient trading route taken by the Venetian merchant, Marco Polo, 700 years ago. Large format. Green cloth boards, gilt title to front board. Colour photos. 224 pages.

SIGNED by the author with dedication to front endpaper and also title page. Contents clean. Pictorial dustwrapper is lightly creased at top edge and very lightly scuffed.
