Slightly better than very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. Reproduced from a rare copy, published around 1870, in the collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the first in which the drawings appeared in colour. Large format. Red cloth boards with gilt titles. Cream endpapers. Bold colour illustrations. Unpaginated.

Very light fading to boards. Minor pencil erasure mark to half-title page. Else a clean copy. Red pictorial dustwrapper is lightly edge-creased, lightly faded to spine and a small nick, minor wear to top of spine.
