Very good condition. Third edition. 'The World of the Sea'.' A. Fredol' is a pseudonym of 'A. Moquin-Tandon' - a French naturalist and a doctor, a professor of Zoology. Text in French. Green leather spine with gilt title. Marbled boards and endpapers. 22 colour plates, 14 b/w plates, numerous illustrations to the text. viii and 632 pages including index. A heavy tome.
Leather spine is rubbed and worn with a couple of small nicks. Boards are browned and scuffed, edge-worn. Text block browned. Joints cracked but tight. All plates present. A few scattered foxspots. Overall a nice, tight copy.
