A fantastic range of story classics, decorated with 8 colour plates, hundreds of two-colour and other pictures. Pictorial boards, cloth spine. Illustrated end papers. First story The Sea Babies, frontis is The Fairy Lantern. 264 pages. 10 x 7.5". Spine and corners bumped and worn, wear to cover edges. A couple of hinges starting to crack but binding is firm. Light browning to endpapers. Name in ink to verso of front endpaper. Contents very good. All plates present. Dustwrapper is edge worn, torn and creased with some loss, mostly from ends of spine. Brown paper stuck along edges on verso. Rear panel grubby.

Couple of tiny patches of surface paper damage to front cover, rear cover grubby and stained to edge with surface paper missing from lower inside corner. Name and address in pencil to verso of frontis. Marks to contents, mostly to margins.

Twenty-second year of issue. Red cloth spine. Pictorial front board shows child with a plate of fruit. 12 colour plates plus two-tone and b/w illustrations to text throughout. Pictorial endpapers by Alan Wright. First story is The Magic Knocker by Christine Chaundler. 264 pages. 10" x 7.25". Spine bumped and worn with splits to top and bottom. 5.5" split in cloth at front edge. Corners bumped and very worn. Board edges rubbed and scuffed. Scuffing and some marks to boards. Front joint cracked at top. Endpapers browned. Name and address in ink to verso of front endpaper. Ink tracing of picture beneath on tissue guard for frontis. 3 plates are MISSING. Foxing and some grubby margin marks.
With and Without Music. Large format. White cloth spine, white pictorial front board. Tipped-in colour frontis, colour plates plus b/w text illustrations. 82 pages. 12" x 9". Spine and corners bumped and worn. Board edges worn. Some splash marks to front board and dark marks to rear board. Covers grubby. Inscription in ink for front endpaper. Browning to endpapers and prelims. A few marks to prelims otherwise contents are generally clean.

Large format. Red cloth spine with black titles and black vignette, pictorial front board shows small girl riding on shoulders of older girl. Advert to rear cover. Blue pictorial endpapers. Colour plates, two-tone and b/w text illustrations. Spine bumped with a few small, light marks. Wear to corners and cover edges. Rear cover slightly grubby. Paper covering rear joint split for 1" at top and bottom. Nick to outside edge of front endpaper. Dated ink inscription to verso of frontis. A couple of hinges cracked. Brown mark, mostly to inner margins of two pages, one of which is a two-tone illustration page. A few fox spots and fingermarks but generally clean otherwise.

Colour plates plus b/w text illustrations. 320 pages. Spine bumped, worn and faded. Bumping and wear to corners and cover edges. Covers a bit grubby, browning to edges of rear cover. Bottom of rear joint starting to crack. Small bookseller's label to rear pastedown. Some light foxing and just an odd mark to contents. All plates present.

Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Wear to edge of onlay. Rear cover slightly browned and grubby with small amount of faint pencil writing. Endpapers browned. A couple of hinges cracked. Light foxing throughout otherwise contents clean. All plates present, tear to edge of one just touches margin of illustration, nicks to top edge of another.

Red cloth, gilt title to spine. 14 colour plates. Stories of Jesus. A little bumping to spine and corners. Inscription in ink to verso of front endpaper. Browning to endpapers. Foxing throughout mostly to margins, including plate margins. Brown mark to top of pages 240/241 where possibly something has been pressed. Contents otherwise generally clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn with some small tears. Wrapper is grubby and foxed.

Music by Rev. Thomas Crawford. Cream boards, pictorial onlay to front cover. 10.5 x 8". Spine and corners bumped and worn. Name and address in ink and pencil writing to top of front board. Brown mark to bottom of front board and spine. Boards are grubby. Booksellers sticker to bottom of front pastedown and has rubbed red colour onto endpaper. Some hinges are cracked. Score marks to a few pages. Light fingering to a some pages.
Cream cloth, dark green titles and decorative peach border to front cover. Beautiful mounted colour plates and two-tone text illustrations. 108 pages. Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Covers a bit grubby with a light splash mark to rear cover. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Light fingermarks to page margins else contents clean.

Wrapper is browned, with large tears and a few large pieces of loss; to top and tail of spine; corner on rear cover; creased with some scuffing.
