Covers grubby with browning and stains. Bumping and wear to spine and corners, small sharp bump to front edge of faded spine. Front cover is slightly bowed. Small dark mark to text block. Light stains to outside edges of endpapers and a few pages otherwise contents clean and unused.

Joints beginning to crack. Pages at beginning and end of book very browned. Front endpaper slightly detached and ragged at bottom edge. Publisher's file copy with "property room not to be taken away" ink date stamp to front endpaper of book. Small ticks beside each illustration and bottom corner of page 34 folded up.

Browning to endpapers. Small bookseller's label to rear pastedown. Pages 52 and 53 are stuck together along full length of outside edge for a depth of about 1". Rest of contents clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn with a little loss to top of spine and folds. Browned, mainly to spine and folds, also slightly grubby.

Front joint is broken at lower half, rear joint is cracking. There are a few neat ink entries but generally the contents are clean and mainly unused.
