Volume 59. Large, heavy format. Green cloth with gilt title to spine. 6 colour plates, numerous b/w illustrations. The serial stories are 'The Madcap' by L.T. Meade and 'The Lost River' by Edward S. Ellis and 'A Fearful Flight' by Mrs. E.E. Cuthell and 'Little Miss Prue' by Bella Sidney Woolf. Appears to be two volumes bound in one book both dated 1904. Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Spine browned, light fading at cover edges and some light scuffing. Foxing to page edges.

The "Odd Ones" were Simon, the little brother who was always left out when the two older boys at the Rectory got together, and Larry the Cairn, whose master let Rufus, a lovely red setter, take his place in his affections. Beige cloth, green titles. Charming b/w illustrations. 106 pages. Spine and corners slightly bumped and rubbed. Some fading to covers (mainly to top of spine edge on rear cover). Some light foxing else contents clean. Cream dustwrapper is edge worn and chipped with some loss to spine edge on rear panel.

A few faint margins marks but generally a bright clean copy of this scarce Rountree item.

Stated "First published September 1941", this is a later printing as 1st printing was a much thicker book.

This is Patrick O'Brian's first book, written when he was still in school, under his real name 'Patrick Russ'. Red cloth with green titles. Colour frontis, b/w illustrations. Caesar is a cub in the Tibetan forests; it follows his early wild life, how he became an orphan and also tells of his capture and taming. REDUCED PRICE. Spine and cover edges are faded, with some more fading starting to affect front and back covers. Light foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. In 2ND issue dustwrapper with colour pictorial onlay to front. The wrapper is showing browning, to same parts that are faded undernath. A few light marks but complete with no tears or chips.
