Twentieth year of issue. Red cloth spine. Front cover shows young girl in green dress. Endpapers by Anne Anderson. Edited by Golding. 12 Colour plates and numerous two tone illustrations. 264 pages. Bumping and wear to spine, corners and cover edges. A couple of small marks and scratches to covers. Ink inscription to verso of front endpaper. Some light browning and foxing, mostly to endpapers and prelims. Just an odd mark/margin tear to contents. All plates present.

Stories and Pictures for Boys and Girls. Cloth spine, pictorial boards. Colour and b/w illustrations throughout. First story is "The Sea Babies" by May Wynne. Colour frontis is 'The Home of the Mermaid'. Spine is very faded, with some foxspots. Corners very worn with top corner creased. Front and rear joints cracked and weak but remainder of binding sound. Name in ink to verso of front endpaper. Minimal foxing to contents.

Large format. Red cloth spine with black title, pictorial boards with front showing 3 girls playing with a hoop. Mounted colour plates. Numerous b/w text illustrations. First story is "Little Miss Robinson Crusoe" by Corbett. Includes some b/w cat illustrations by Wain. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Spine faded and silver rubbed. A few marks to covers and two scratches to onlay. Joints cracked, rear joint showing webbing. Label, with name on, stuck to front endpaper covering writing, label partially removed below. Edge of front endpaper creased with small tears. Contents generally clean, all plates present.

Green cloth, front shows onlay of young girl and boy listening intently to service man, white titles, black and white decoration. 9 colour plates plus b/w illustrations. 415 pages. 4 serial stories, The Adventures of Madcap Guy, Bobbie and Betty Under the Sea, Gilbert the Outlaw and The Rabbits That Ran Away. A little bumping and wear to spine and corners. Spine slightly darkened and gilt dulled. Covers slightly grubby with wear to onlay and title. Rear joint cracked. Tiny bookseller's sticker to front pastedown. Light browning to endpapers. Just an odd mark and fox spot to contents.
Greeen spine and rear board, front cover shows child with toy horn on a rocking horse. 24 colour plates plus other illustrations. 10 x 7.5". Spine a little bumped. Corners bumped and worn. Board edges rubbed. A little surface paper damage to rear board which is also scratched. Some hinges are cracked. Light browning to endpapers. Some foxing. Grubby marks to page margins.

Couple of tiny patches of surface paper damage to front cover, rear cover grubby and stained to edge with surface paper missing from lower inside corner. Name and address in pencil to verso of frontis. Marks to contents, mostly to margins.

Large format 11 x 8". Pictorial covers show continuous snow scene, two children on front, one in green jumper, girl with sheep to rear. Colour plates plus b/w illustrations. First story is A Washing Day. A little bumping and wear to spine and corners. Very light browning to spine and 1" split to front edge. To/From box completed in ink on front pastedown. One hinge starting to crack. A few fox spots to text block. Contents clean.

Ink inscription, dated 1938, to verso of frontis. Just an odd mark/fox spot to contents. One colour plate has been stuck into place with clear tape, now yellowed.

One plate has 2" tear at top of inner margin.

Cream cloth spine with black title and illustration. Pictorial front board shows boy watching girl make cats cradle in hands (oriental dragon on wall behind). Colour plates and illustrations, b/w text illustrations. First story is "How We Stole an Uncle From Australia". Edges rubbed & worn. Hinge between colour plate & 117 and also 136 & colour plate is pulled (i.e. the section is starting to loosen but binding is still holding). A few minor margin marks. All colour plates present. A few closed margin tears. Overall a nice, bright copy.
