Not a collection of lovely ladies but a collection of even lovelier dogs! 20 superb full-page sketches depicting models the artists has known in various doggy poses. White boards, gilt titles. Plates have captioned tissue-guards. 80 pages, top edge gilt others untrimmed. SIGNED by Aldin to limitation page. This is copy no. 46. Spine and corners bumped. Some foxing and slight grubbiness to covers. Evidence of removal of a name plate to front pastedown. Some pale foxing else contents clean.

Titles to spine and some of gilt to front dulled. Marks to covers including rubbed patch to rear cover. Rear joint cracked, a couple of hinges starting to crack. Light foxing/browning and a few marks to contents but many pages are clean. All plates present.

Mounted colour vignette to dedication page. Carey's strip maps in black and red to rear. 123 pages. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Nasty bump to lower edge of front cover. Browning to spine and some cover edges. A few light marks to covers. Some light browning and foxing, mainly to endpapers, prelims and page edges. All plates and map present.

Light browning and foxing to contents. Colouring to a few of the b/w illustrations.

Brown cloth, dark brown titles. A selection of verses which have appeared in 'Punch', all of which are about dogs. Twelve colour plates plus frontis plus b/w illustrations. 47 pages. A little bumping and wear to spine and corners. Some darkening to edges. Some light browning, foxing is mainly to prelims and page edges. Just an odd mark to contents. All plates present. Dustwrapper has one third of rear panel and half of rear flap missing, also loss from spine and bottom of front panel. Creasing and tears to edges, grubby some some darkening.

Ink inscription to front endpaper. Small tear and crease to bottom of first text page. Foxing to contents throughout but generally clean otherwise.

Spine and corners bumped, covers slightly edge worn and rear cover is a bit grubby. Top 2" of front joint is just starting to crack. It is possible that the frontispiece is missing (not sure if there was one or not). Name and address in ink in belongs to box. Foxspots and light fingering to contents.

Cream cloth covers with dark titles and deer vignettes. Two-tone frontis plus 4 b/w plates, 2 fold out maps and small b/w repeated illustrations. 125 pages. Spine and corners a little bumped. Browning to spine and board edges. Small bump to bottom of front and rear board. Tissue guard to frontis is creased. Both maps have small tears where they are stuck into the book. The first map is creased at the edges. One plate is detached. Foxing to some pages and the top margin of some plates otherwise contents are clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn, chipped and creased. Remains of a label to rear flap. Small patch of surface paper damage to front flap. Some foxing and marks to panels. Wrapper is grubby.

White (damp?) marks to middle of rear board. Bubbling to front pastedown and a little wrinkling to prelims. Endpapers browned. Foxing mainly to prelims and last couple of text pages. A little light fingering. Dustwrapper is edge worn with some tears. Spine is browned. Panels are marked. Red marks to verso which match white marks on rear board.
