Originally published in 1897 by J.M. Dent and then enlarged and revised in 1907. First reprinted by Heinnemann in 1909. 24 tipped-in colour plates and 12 full-page tinted illustrations. Brown cloth, gilt title, brown decorations to spine and front cover. 549pp. Cr 4to. Some light bumping and wear to spine and corners. Presentation plate to front pastedown. Front joint next to half-title page is cracked. Some foxing. Creasing to tissue-guard of frontis. A few hinges are pulled - binding starting to become a little weak in a couple of places. Foxing to outer page edges. All plates present. Original wrapper is edge-creased, with some grubby marks; a couple of small pieces of loss to corners.

A collection of stories and illustrations which originally appeared in "Little Folks" between 1896 and 1902, during which period most of the numbers of the magazine contained some of Rackham's drawings. 36 tinted line-drawn plates and text illustrations. Green cloth gilt titles and decoration to front cover. 144 pages. 11 x 8.5". One of the more unusual Rackham items. Spine bumped, worn and browned. Covers are bowed and discoloured, rubbing to rear cover. Light spotting and page browning with some light fingering but generally contents clean.

As the close of his life approached, Swinburne often expressed his desire to extract from his various volumes those poems addressed to children. He died without doing so. Edmund Gosse has brought together this collection of Swinburne's poems which are concerned with infancy. Rackham's delicate and romantic illustrations are a perfect complement to the text. 8 colour plates plus b/w text decorations. Dark green cloth with gilt titles and vignette to front cover. Green/white decorated endpapers. 133pp. cr 4to. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. A few small marks to covers. Crossed out inscription in ink to front endpaper. Some foxing; mostly to endpapers. Gissing lived alone on the Canine Estates, had an income of 1000 bones a year but was not happy... A story about dogs. 4 unusual colour plates and 16 b/w line drawings. Bright blue cloth, gilt titles and vignette to front cover and spine. Blue and white pictorial endpapers. Top edge gilt. 227 pages. Top and tail of spine slightly worn with a couple of small nicks. Corners rubbed. Faint damp marks to corners of some pages. Otherwise covers and contents beautifully bright and clean.

Full leather binding with gilt titles and pictorial onlay to front cover. Ribbon ties weaved into binding of covers. 50 colour plates; tipped-in. Heavy, hand-made paper. Text is in Dutch. A lovely edition! Limited edition to 325 copies. 8" split to top of spine next to front cover. 3-4" split to base of spine on rear side of covers. Bumping and wear to corners and spine. A little chipping along cover edges. Original ribbon ties are still present on binding - one to bottom of front cover has partly torn off, so can not be tied to ribbon on rear cover; original piece of torn of ribbon still present inside, but detached. A few marks to covers. Looks like repair work has been professionally done at some point; new overlap edges have been very neatly added, so protecting more original corners. The book also appears to have new endpapers. Some foxing to outer page edges and a few to some pages internally. Some creasing to uncut page edges. All plates are present and in excellent condition!

Pink pictorial endpapers. 12 beautiful colour plates with captioned tissue-guards. 287 pages. Top edge gilt. Minimal rubbing to spine and corners. Endpapers very slightly grubby, small piece torn from margin of front free-endpaper (and neatly stuck back in). Name and date in ink to verso of front free-endpaper. Light crack to rear pastedown, grubby mark to margin of rear free-endpaper. Tissue-guard to frontis is detached (very neatly) but still present. Some fingermarking to tissue-guards and very light marking to some of plate margins, minimal foxing to outer page edges, but overall a very nice copy indeed!
