SIGNED by author/illustrator to title page. Ex-lib. with most usual markings, especially to prelims. Bookplate to front pastedown. Page edge browning. Wrapper is price-cut with tape marks to flaps; creased with some chips and tears; minimal loss.
Purple cloth with gilt titles and blind decorations. Illustrated with 16 engravings on wood from drawings by John Gilbert. Includes Robin Hood. Spine is very darkened, with damage and a bit of loss to top; some other splits and fraying to edges. Corners are bumped. Name in ink to front endpaper. Some browning and grubby marks to endpapers and page margins.

Some browning. A few pencil annotations.

Spine and corners bumped. Spine is browned. Board edges a little browned. Endpapers a little browned. A little foxing and some marks to page edges. Rear endpaper and previous page are partially stuck together.

Contents very good just a little light foxing. Dustwrapper has loss from ends of spine and large split to front edge, all repaired on verso with tape, some tape now yellowed. Ends of folds chipped. Spine very browned. Panels a bit grubby, some foxing. Bottom 0.5" and corner cut from front flap.
