Light page browning to endpapers and foxing to page edges else contents clean. Blue spine wrapper is edge worn with minimal loss and a little grubby on rear panel, so small ink marks to title list on rear panel.

Wrapper is torn with large sections of loss to lower edges of spine and panels, some slight loss to top edges. Neat tick marks to title list on rear panel which is also slightly grubby.

Red cloth, black title to spine. B/w frontis. 336 pages. Spine slightly bumped. Name and address in ink, 'no. 4' written in ink and also a transfer sticker (of dog) stuck to front endpaper. A few hinges pulled. Some foxing, mainly to outer page edges else contents clean. Dustwrapper is edge chipped with small patch of loss to top edge of front panel, grubby on rear panel. Tape repairs on verso to edges and folds. A little of the transfer sticker has transferred to the front flap of the dustwrapper.

Pages 39-42 have slightly ragged edges where the pages were not trimmed correctly in the binding process and have been roughly opened (text not affected). Dustwrapper has old tape repairs to verso which have started to show through to the front, top corner of front panel has been nibbled by rodent.
