Five small format paperwrap books contained in shaped pictorial slipcase with opening door at front. Story books are: Noddy and the flying elephant; Big-ears loses some jewels; Noddy and the 3 bears; Noddy's car rides in the air; Noddy and the big balloon. B/w illustrations. Noddy and the Flying Elephant has neat colouring to the first illustration and a light corner crease to the front cover. Big-ears loses some Jewels has two creases and a small nick to the rear cover. All books have light foxing to covers and light browning to pages. Contained in original ark case which is slightly edge worn with a couple of tiny tears and fox spots. Slightly faded to front.

Five little card wrap books contained in box shaped to look like a sweetshop with opening door at front. All 5 books are present but one is missing its covers and one is missing its rear cover. Three have tape repairs to covers. Tinny's hat has been coloured in every book ans there is some foxing but contents of books are generally good. Sweetshop box is battered and worn with loss from top edge, doors still present. A bit grubby and foxed. Sold W.A.F.

Designed for the colour pictures to be cut out and the b/w pictures to be used for tracing and creating other dolly items. Blue cloth, large pictorial onlay to front cover. Some bumping and wear to spine and corners. A few small marks to covers and onlay. Gilt on spine dulled. Large white label stuck to front pastedown covering another label underneath. 1623 in ink to front endpaper. Some hinges cracked. A few grubby fingermarks to contents. Some contents (furniture pages) are missing, one is detached.

Creasing to the laminate on the rear board. Slight bumping to edge of front cover. All revolving pictures in very good working order.

PEEPSHOW OF THAMES TUNNEL

Cream card wraps with hole to front cover to peep through, decorative paper onlay to rear cover. 6 hand-coloured scenes bound accordion style. Covers are edge worn and a little grubby. Three of the paper folds have been replaced, the first two very neatly and have been coloured to match what was previously there (when the book is closed you can see the colour), the other fold replaced did not need colour. Other folds have small tears or old tape repairs. The scenes are all in excellent condition, without major faults.

1200 feet long, 76 feet below high water mark, was 8 years building and cost £446,000, opened the 25th day of March 1843. Bound accordion style, 4 hand--coloured scenes (includes front cover which has 2 holes cut out - peepholes). Contained in a slipcase with onlay to front (same as front cover of book). Rear cover is creased and colour (black) has been touched up to rear cover and edges of front cover. I think that the slipcase has been repaired/reinforced.

Light marking to a couple of pages from light dampstain. Some creasing and wear. Staples rusty. All strips present. Some illustrations slightly off line.

Overall the books are lovely and bright and would be difficult to find in better condition. Box has creases and is slightly edge rubbed, there is an inscription in blue biro to lower edge of front of box.

Contents of books are clean. Box is worn with crease to top front and erased pencil writing to front.
